Frequently asked questions.

What can I expect?

Individuals receiving treatment can expect a warm and inviting atmosphere in which they can feel comfortable and relaxed. In-person and distance sessions can include using crystals to help bring the client's body back to a natural state of harmony. Some clients may experience images, physical sensations, thoughts, smells or sounds. At the end of the session, the practitioner can help decode these experiences to aid the client’s understanding of the messages. Others may not experience anything other than relaxation.

What is the difference between In-person and Distant Reiki?

Essentially, the client will receive the same form of treatment in person as they are in their home. The preference depends on the individual as there are significant benefits for both. In-person is obviously more intimate and can create a deeper connection between the individuals. Multiple forms of therapy can be used in addition to Reiki, enriching their experience. Distant reiki is done while the client is in the comfort of their own space. At times, this has been known to lead to deeper healing. Typically, the practitioner focuses on specific points on the body, so a teddy bear will be used as a surrogate during a distance session.

What should I wear?

The client will remain fully dressed, so whatever makes you feel comfortable, safe and ready to relax.

How long is a session?

Each session is 60 minutes, they can be done in person or remotely.

How old do you have to be to receive Reiki?

Reiki is so pure and gentle that persons of any age can benefit from as little as 5 minutes of Reiki. Young children and animals are innocent so they can quickly integrate its healing properties, resulting in a need for less session time.

Can you do Reiki on Animals?

Yes! Since Reiki is merely energy, we can direct it anywhere we think might be beneficial! Plants, animals, even televisions!

Is Reiki religious?

Although Reiki energy is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a religion. Practitioners are not asked to change any religious or spiritual beliefs they may have. They are free to continue believing anything they choose and are encouraged to make their own decisions concerning the nature of their religious practices.
